Welcome to Pheasant Run Pony Farm
Pheasant Run Pony Farm is located in Northeast Indiana in the middle of 92 acres. Approximately 75 acres of the farm is untouched former farmland that contains thousands of pheasants in the tall grass as well as many deer. Our small farm was created to raise, breed, and show Classic and Modern/ Modern Pleasure American Shetland Ponies. Our focus is on raising outstanding halter and driving ponies.
Our goal is to breed beautiful ponies with good, sensible minds so our two children can enjoy them as well. We have chosen some outstanding ponies with style, conformation, disposition, and pedigree for our breeding program and show string.
Our ponies are direct descendents of Stallions who are, or have produced, national champions such as Pony Vista's Hi-Lee, Double Stuf (HOF), AGS Hi-Lee Extreme (National Champion and HOF), Raven of Bird Haven (Double Superior Sire, 1992 National Champion and has produced 13 HOF off-spring), Moose Meadow Te-Bone (1999 Jr. National Champion and producer of 13 national champions).
As with any breeding program the mares are the one's usually left out or forgotten. We feel we have some good one's, or the off-spring of some good one's and they should be recognized as well. AGS Dream (Dam of Hi-Power and Hi-Lee Extreme, both Congress Grand Champions) AGS Hi Power (Congress Grand Champion and dam of Powerball and PowerSurge), AGS Cameo (Congress Champion), and AGS First Alert (Weanling Congress Champion at her only show). These are only a few of the mares on the farm and they are the future of our breeding program.
Our current Herd Sires are working towards making a name for themselves in the breeding shed too, and they are AGS Jeeper's Creepers, Grassmere's Mr. Unique and Double Design FMF.
Please take some time and look at our ponies. Our web-site is a working document with constant changes and updates. If you see something that interests you or you have questions, please e-mail us, and we will attempt to answer any question you may have.
Our Purpose is not just what's in the halter, but at the end of one too!
